Central Bank Of Iraq Visit

Mehmet Ali Akben, Chairman of the Banking Regulation and Supervision Agency (BDDK), welcomed the Iraq Central Bank President Mustafa Ghaleb Mukhif and the delegation, which included Iraq Central Bank senior officials and Iraqi banking sector representatives, on Friday, November 26, 2021.

During the official visit of the Central Bank of Iraq, the importance of joint interaction and exchange of experience between Turkey and Iraq and the development of banking relations between the two countries' financial institutions were emphasized. It was also stated by the Iraqi delegation that branches of licensed Turkish banks in Iraq were encouraged to develop their activities and presence in the Iraqi market with the principle of reciprocity.

After the meeting of BRSA President Akben and senior executives of our Institution with Iraq Central Bank President Mukhif and the accompanying delegation, expressing that they would be pleased to continue the sectoral communication between the two countries, gift presentation and photo taking sessions were held.
